Could Byaku have secretly care about his wife?

He did all those things for her up until the end and he also had a similar relationship with his Princess where he gave her what ever she wanted. Is it possible that he did care about her and the Princess was his bizzare replacement for his wife?

It's possible, but not really likely in my opinion. Byaku himself claimed that his wife was only using him, and that he didn't want to do those things for her. At any rate, doing them certainly never gave him any pleasure, nor did seeing her happy. The difference is that being around Princess did make him happy, to the point where he expressed his happiness to be with her, where he never did so with his wife. And really, if he'd been happy with his wife, seems like he would have made it clear to her that she didn't need to go so far to stay beautiful, or at least been bothered by the fact that someone else was in love with her. But he wasn't, I think because he genuinely didn't care about her, or at least not as much as she cared for him. And if he did care, why insult her after she was dead, and in front of someone who clearly did love her? Not being expressive is one thing, but insulting her memory is another. - Dap00 10:09, April 24, 2011 (UTC)

I'm pretty sure that Byaku is part human...-Ryuujin 02:33, November 24, 2011 (UTC)

He's not part human, he is human. -The Abbster 02:59, November 24, 2011 (UTC)

Fine. Part Ayakashi >|-Ryuujin
...actually, pretty sure he's not Ayakashi at all. Kagami confirmed that he was only a human with cybernetic parts. Byaku just thought he wanted to become an Ayakashi for the power, and Princess did imply she would turn him into one, but never came through. The whole bug control thing was done by the parts in his head. In theory. >_> - Dap00 04:31, November 24, 2011 (UTC)
...then how did he like detach part of his body? The part where he and Heisuke were fighting n' everything...-Ryuujin 02:37, November 25, 2011 (UTC)
They never really explain that. But there are multiple situations that suggest he never became an Ayakashi, despite all the modifications. He already controlled the bugs when he met Princess, so it wouldn't make sense for her to promise to turn him into an Ayakashi if he already was one then. - Dap00 02:46, November 25, 2011 (UTC)
